Visual Identity Specialist

The Rugby World Cup is seeking a skilled Visual Identity Specialist to bring their expertise in creative design and branding to our team.

This role will involve collaborating with key stakeholders to develop assets and materials that showcase the Tournament's unique identity across various channels.

  • Develop and implement brand guidelines for the Men's Rugby World Cup 2027, ensuring consistency and professionalism throughout all marketing projects.
  • Work closely with the World Rugby Global Marketing, Brand and Content teams and LOC teams to roll out branded assets required.
  • Apply visual identity principles to create original assets for print and digital materials such as brochures, event branding, packaging and web banners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns and deliverables.
  • Support the development of localized assets for host cities and venues for them to use across their promotional activity.
  • Develop high-standard presentations and publications to ensure a consistent look and feel across the tournament.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the LOC and also at World Rugby.
  • Ensure concepts, designs and assets are delivered on time, in full and meet expectations.

Key qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, PremierePro)
  • At least 5 years' experience working in a similar role and understanding how to apply brand guidelines
  • Attention to visual details, ensuring brand consistency throughout various marketing projects
  • Understanding and experience in working with brand identities
  • Clear understanding of requirements and considerations for digital, print formats, colour spaces, and specifications
  • Experience with both small and large format printing
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with team members
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and trends, generating fresh concepts
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, delivering work to deadlines and honouring commitments with a positive 'can-do' attitude
