About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team at Experteq. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our financial and governance strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop, implement, and execute our financial strategy, steering forecasting, financial modelling, and annual budgeting.
  • Financial Performance Management: Manage financial outcomes, while spearheading improvements and efficiencies.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee the analysis and reporting of financial statements, ensuring alignment with accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Cash Flow Management: Handle cash flow management, risk mitigation, and cultivate external relationships.
  • Operational Efficiency: Supervise day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Receivable, tax compliance, and outsourced payroll.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Use advanced modelling tools to enhance financial performance analysis and reporting. Provide accurate forecasting, scenario analysis, and data visualisation to support strategic decision-making.
Corporate Governance
  • Regulatory Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and corporate governance standards. Manage board meetings, maintain statutory registers, and oversee document filings.
  • Board Support: Serve as the key liaison between the board and management, advising on governance best practices, and supporting the onboarding of new board members.
Leadership
  • Executive Collaboration: Partner with the CEO and Executive team to drive strategic initiatives and achieve operational goals. Lead financial and governance matters, contributing to the company's strategic plan while working closely with the ELT and SLT to ensure financial and operational alignment.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of 4, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement to ensure your team is well-equipped to meet Experteq's financial goals and business objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial management role with at least 5 years as a CFO of a private company. Knowledge of FSI or IT Services is an advantage, though not essential.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Company Secretary or in a similar governance role with significant board-facing experience.
  • Proven track record in strategic financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and risk management.
  • Proficient in using advanced modelling tools to drive financial performance analysis and reporting, including accurate forecasting, scenario analysis, and data visualisation to support strategic decision-making.
