Job Description

The Compliance Manager will report directly to the Head of Compliance and be responsible for:

  • Daily monitoring of incidents and breach dashboards, identifying areas of concern and escalating high-priority matters.
  • Conducting thorough assessments of new incidents to determine whether a breach has occurred and whether it requires reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Supporting the preparation of incident and breach reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Collaborating in the development and review of our Incident and Breach Policy and Procedures.
  • Providing education and training to colleagues and material outsource providers on our expectations regarding incident and breach management.
  • Maintaining and monitoring our Compliance Management Framework to ensure we operate within legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field (desired).
  • Industry certifications in compliance, governance, or risk management (advantageous).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations applicable to super trustees, including the SIS Act & Regulations, Corporations Act & Regulations, APRA's Prudential Standards, the Privacy Act, and the AML/CTF Act.
  • A solid understanding of frameworks designed to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Experience in incident management within a financial services environment.
  • The ability to work accurately and attentively in a detail-driven environment.
  • Experience in writing submissions for Boards and Committees, as well as developing and maintaining corporate policies.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex information to various stakeholders.
