Job Title: Chief Financial And Operating Officer

About the Role:

This is an opportunity to apply your strategic financial acumen, technology leadership, and operational expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of over 440,000 Australians living with stroke.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the CEO and Executive Team to shape the strategic direction and support the effective execution of strategic plans to advance the mission of Stroke Foundation.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Executive Team by demonstrating values-based leadership and providing strategic subject matter advice to the CEO and Executive colleagues on operational matters.
  • Lead the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts to support financial planning and resource allocation processes.
  • Provide Executive sponsor support for the Audit, Finance, Investment and Risk Committee (FIRC) of the Board.
  • Drive forward-looking analysis on business performance and strategy delivery to support accountability and action.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve organisational effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to ensure good governance and inform business development through both historical analysis as well as forward looking forecasting and budgeting.
  • Identify and implement cost-optimisation strategies.
  • Lead the Foundation's strategic and organisational risk management.
  • Develop and maintain robust compliance and audit processes.
