About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Cath Lab at Mount Private Hospital. As a Cardiac Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiac and vascular services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize industry-leading equipment and technologies to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including cardiac and vascular surgeons, nurses, technicians, and radiographers, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for enhancement in processes and outcomes.
  • Contribute to collaborative decision-making to ensure patient safety and procedural success.
  • Actively participate in the mentoring and skill-set development of less experienced team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery post-intervention.
Requirements
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Working with Children check
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care and demonstrated ability to adhere to the ACQSHC National standards.
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Attainment of qualification and/or competency in Electrophysiology (or progression towards the same)
  • Experience in TAVI/Structural Heart coordination and/or certification in valve loading/crimping
