The Legislation Governance and Instruments team within the department seeks a highly skilled professional to provide strategic advice across various legislation process matters, including requirements for Bill introduction and parliamentary procedures.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

- Providing expert guidance on legislation, Executive Council (ExCo), and parliamentary processes to stakeholders across the department
- Building and maintaining key relationships and information flows about legislation between law and policy leads and external authorities.
- Overseeing coordination and end-stage delivery of briefing and text approval materials for Bills and materials submitted to Executive Council
- Collaborating closely with colleagues in the Legislation Practice and Chief Counsel Division, and policy teams within the department to develop timeframes for draft legislation and briefing products, and tracking delivery milestones and pressures across the legislation program
- Working collaboratively and flexibly with all colleagues in the Legislation Practice to deliver on priority projects
- Regularly reporting on the status of the department's legislation program.
