Resources Victoria is seeking a highly motivated Senior Legislation Officer to join our Legislation Reform team for a 12-month fixed-term opportunity. In this role, you will:
- Lead and support the development and reform of legislation governing Victoria's earth resources sector.

About Us
Resources Victoria, part of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), is responsible for enabling responsible exploration, development, and rehabilitation of Victoria's earth resources. We deliver policy, legislative reform, and expert advice to support investment and safeguard public safety and the environment.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in natural resource management, economics, law, planning and environment, public policy or other relevant fields are desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the processes that guide how legislation, regulations and statutory appointments are made in Victoria.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of authoritative advice on policy and regulatory issues to senior management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in preparing complex policy briefs, letter, emails and reports.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 Months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
