About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team at Indue.

The successful candidate will provide highly complex specialist legal advice and support to all areas of the business, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating legal risks associated with our operations and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiating contracts and contractual terms in accordance with risk management frameworks
  • Investigating, analysing and evaluating commercial and operational issues from legal, contract and risk perspectives and making recommendations to senior management on risk mitigation
  • Remaining abreast of legal and regulatory developments applicable to Indue's activities and providing advice to the business about these changes
  • Assisting in new product development and having final oversight of contracts for new products
  • Supporting the Risk Function to ensure the company has sound governance, risk and oversight policies and programmes in place
About You

You will have a degree in Law with an unrestricted practising certificate and minimum 10 years' experience in a similar position. Your expertise should include significant experience in the banking and finance industry, with in-depth knowledge of ASIC, APRA and AUSTRAC regulations.

A proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex IT, banking facilities and software contracts is essential, as well as demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to develop and drive the implementation of the legal and risk management framework that effectively balances risk with reward relative to the business strategy.
