About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Domestic Services Assistant to join our team at VMCH.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who values flexibility and is looking for a rewarding career in care. As a Domestic Services Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

About the Role
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in residential areas, including resident rooms, communal spaces, and administrative areas.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, furniture, and other items as required.
  • Ensure common living areas, hallways, and all other areas of the facility are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Report any stock shortages, breakages, or defects promptly to the Residential Services Manager.

This role involves working as part of a close-knit team to provide exceptional care and support to our residents. You will be required to work a minimum of 3 days per week, with flexible shift options available.

About You
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees, and volunteers.
  • You possess demonstrated initiative and the ability to work without supervision, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • You are committed to maintaining complete confidentiality and operating with discretion.
