**Injury Prevention Specialist Role Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Injury Prevention Specialist to join our team in upholding a safe and healthy work environment. As a key member of our Health and Safety department, you will play a pivotal role in driving a positive health culture across the business.

The successful candidate will have solid experience (3+ years) in a similar occupational health or injury management role within the resources sector. You will possess a genuine passion & commitment for creating a workplace that prioritises employee wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and champion a positive health culture across the business.
  • Work with the injury management team to coordinate the management of workplace injuries and workers compensation claims.
  • Facilitate return to work programs for employees and provide advice on injury, health and medical matters to operations personnel and management.
  • Communicate with medical and allied health providers to develop and implement return to work programs and plans for workplace injuries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid experience (3+ years) in a similar occupational health or injury management role within the resources sector.
  • Experience in the mining industry or at a remote community would be highly regarded.
  • A qualification in Allied Health (Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology), Occupational Health, Nursing or Paramedicine would be highly desirable.
