Nurse Unit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Baptcare. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, in line with the Aged Care Standards and Baptcare's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Care Delivery: Ensure that care reflects current best practice guidelines and respects the individual consumer's needs and preferences with dignity.
- Staff Management: Ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to Baptcare policies and procedures as a framework for provision of high-quality care.
- Equipment and Training: Ensure staff has appropriate equipment and training to provide care, and proactively alert the site Manager to action if necessary.
- Documentation: Ensure all staff are clear on documentation requirements and maintain clear, consistent, and compliant records for their area.
- Service Delivery: Contribute to the service being welcoming to all consumers.
- Communication: Liaise with internal and external customers in a compassionate and helpful manner that best reflects the Baptcare Mission and Vision statement.
- Reporting: Ensure all required reporting (risk, audits, reviews) are completed as per schedules and ensure appropriate reporting and action if results are under expected limits.
- ACFI Management: Manage Aged Care funding assessments and ensure full completion of required documentation within required time frames.
You will be a passionate and solution-focused individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our residents. You will have a strong understanding of the Aged Care industry and be able to strategize for achieving organizational and divisional goals. You will be an employee who instills trust in our clients by demonstrating compassion and diligence.
Requirements- Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as a RN Division 1.
- Experience: Recent position in clinical aged care management (a minimum of 2 years).
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to supervise and motivate staff, and work collaboratively within a team.
- Liaising: Liaising with residents, families, GPs, and allied health professionals.
- Continuous Improvement: Contemporary understanding and working knowledge of a continuous improvement framework/system.
- Problem-Solving: Well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work co-operatively as a member of the Residential Services Management Team to achieve goals.
- Commitment to Best Practice: Demonstrate a commitment to best practice in aged care, maintaining an optimal level of dignity, comfort, and quality of life for care recipients living in our aged care facilities.
