Engineers are the backbone of any industry, and as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of innovation and progress.

The role involves guiding and mentoring a team of engineers and designers to deliver high-quality outcomes that consistently exceed client expectations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering project requirements according to agreed schedules and quality standards;
  • Maintaining mechanical engineering standards across all projects;
  • Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and peers;
  • Recommending improvements to engineering systems and processes;
  • Developing industry networks and contacts;
  • Collaborating with clients to identify efficiency opportunities and decarbonisation targets;

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer who can lead our team in delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oil, gas, and energy, terminals, or refining, with experience in design codes such as ASME B31.3, AS 4041, API 650, ASME VIII, or AS 2885. Additionally, they should be familiar with pipe stress analysis tools like AutoPIPE or Caesar II.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the field;
  • Proven Australian experience in oil and gas, mining, refining, terminal, tank farm, or bulk fuel distribution;
  • A deep understanding of relevant design codes;
  • Experience in pipe stress analysis;
  • CPEng/RPEQ or equivalent certification;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively;
