Our Brisbane office is looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

• Provide technical support in the Engineering and Design processes for piping, valving, data sheets, MTOs, materials selection, welding specifications, etc.
• Perform pipe stress analysis or exposure to similar is desirable.
• Develop and support FEED and design studies including detailed design calculations.
• Develop and support the development of scoping/concept documents, FEED and detailed design such as piping layouts, component selection, material selection, construction methodology, design criteria and plot plans.
• Participate and support in risk assessment & SMS workshops.
• Prepare and support cost estimates, equipment summaries and tender packages.
• Write technical reports as required.

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in the design of Oil & Gas piping and/or Mechanical engineering.
• Proven Australian experience in piping and mechanical design including concept development, FEED and detail design phases.
• In-depth knowledge of AS 4041, ASME 31.3 and other relevant Australian acts, regulations, standards and codes related to the mechanical industry.
• CPEng.
• Ability to perform engineering tasks with minimal supervision.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Ability to manage your time and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and excellent writing skills including report development.
