About the Role

As a Community Support Assistant with VMCH, you will provide person-centered care to elderly members of our community, enabling them to live more fulfilling and independent lives. You will work one-on-one with clients in their home environment, building strong relationships and gaining a deep understanding of their individual needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, bathing, and transfers
  • Provide transportation to and from appointments
  • Use aids and personal equipment as required

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • A current First Aid Certificate and CPR training
  • A valid Victorian Driver's License and reliable vehicle
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or equivalent
  • A current Police Check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in providing personal care, domestic assistance, and social support to older people in a community setting
  • A commitment to VMCH's mission, vision, and values
