Key Role: Senior Estimator
A leading builder is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to play a critical role in securing commercial and industrial projects.
About the Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the estimating department, preparing accurate cost plans and budgets, building strong relationships with suppliers and clients, and driving continuous improvement in the estimating function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full tender process across projects ranging from $1m to $30m.
- Prepare detailed trade breakups, scope reviews, and risk assessments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth project handover and cost control.
- Identify and implement cost efficiencies without compromising compliance or quality.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a construction estimator (commercial, industrial, or multi-residential).
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and processes.
- Strong supplier and subcontractor networks in SEQ.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, implementing best practice processes.
- A commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
