Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our team as an Estimator – Civil Contractor. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our dynamic organization and contribute to the success of our projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, with experience in estimating and project management. They will be responsible for coordinating internal and external resources, preparing and submitting tenders, and evaluating the tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a high level of commercial acumen, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Prepare budgets based on tender submissions
  • Evaluate and review tender and estimating processes for cost effectiveness
  • Coordinate tender handovers to project teams

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
  • 5-10+ years' experience in civil construction, with a focus on estimation and project management
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
