About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and review the compliance obligations management procedure to ensure it aligns with the organization's risk appetite and is effectively implemented across the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, including liaison with regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Document, support, and monitor business compliance requirements, including the day-to-day operation of the compliance obligations management procedure.
  • Monitor and review compliance activities across departments, including validation of attestations and internal controls.
  • Provide oversight of compliance incidents and/or breaches.
  • Collaborate with the Risk & Compliance Manager to oversee the ongoing operation of and adherence to the Risk and Compliance Framework.
  • Periodically assess the effectiveness of risk and compliance management across the organization, take appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness, and provide advice to the business on the same.
  • Report to boards and executive management on compliance matters.
  • Educate and promote awareness of the organization's Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system across functional stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary liaison officer between the organization and the GRC vendor to ensure the system delivers the required benefits and functionality.
  • Assist the Risk & Compliance Manager in providing support, training, and advice to the executive and management to help them identify, develop, and manage their risks, compliance obligations, and internal audit actions.
  • Assist the Risk & Compliance Manager in engaging key business stakeholders, building relationships between the business and risk and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other business units to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
About You

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in compliance management or a related field, preferably within a large and/or highly regulated organization.

Key qualifications include:

  • 5-7 years of experience in compliance management or a related role.
  • Experience in implementing a compliance management framework, along with Risk Management and/or Internal Audit experience.
  • Degree qualified in accounting, business, risk management, or commercial law.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills.
  • Solutions-focused approach.
  • Outstanding relationship and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional demeanor in training, coaching, and presenting to small and large-scale audiences.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
