About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end process of monthly Executive Briefings and Operations Board Reports cycles. This includes ensuring reporting cycle and annual schedule of reports are clearly defined, documented, and maintained.

You will develop, implement, embed, and sustain appropriate portfolio reporting processes to ensure reporting, data quality, accuracy, and integrity is maintained and sustainable. Additionally, you will assist with portfolio and program performance analysis - budgets, financials, scheduling, reporting quality, resourcing, risks, and continuous improvements.

Providing high-level advice on overall portfolio performance, status, risk, and issues is also a crucial aspect of this role. You will effectively prioritize reporting requests and demand, including setting clear expectations on what can or cannot be delivered within certain timeframes.

Identifying areas where actions are required to address issues impacting or potentially impacting on portfolio delivery is essential. You will also assist with the identification and articulation of systemic themes and trends to improve overall portfolio performance.

Finally, you will identify and articulate system recommendations to transition portfolio reporting to a self-service model.

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role. You should have demonstrated experience in articulating, tailoring information, and effectively communicating to specific audiences, including key stakeholders, executive teams, boards, and externally to local government authorities and state agencies.

Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in report writing and delivering presentations are essential. You should also have experience working with a high-volume workload, face-paced environment, and achieving key deadlines and key performance indicators.

Able to problem solve, understand, and process data from complex structures and multiple sources to achieve desired reporting objectives is a must. You should also be able to build and maintain productive working relationships at all levels within the team and within the wider business, as well as externally with external stakeholders.

Advanced skills in MS Excel are required, while intermediate skills in MS Office 365, Project Management software (such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project) and document control solutions are preferred. Portfolio, Program or Project Management qualifications would be highly regarded.
