Job Title: Portfolio Management Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Portfolio Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for actively managing a portfolio of sub-standard and impaired assets with below-average credit risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Engage directly with customers and their advisers to understand individual account circumstances and collaborate on solutions;
  2. Closely collaborate with credit risk personnel and systems to ensure accurate account management and monitoring of customer risk profiles;
  3. Prepare high-quality reports, including credit submissions and briefing papers, for senior management and relevant board committees;
  4. Approve credit decisions and exercise expense delegations within delegated authorities, based on thorough risk assessment;
  5. Identify opportunities for process and procedure improvement, and participate in ad hoc projects and support, coaching, and mentoring of credit analysts within the organisation;
Requirements:
  • Solid understanding of credit risk management principles and practices;
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Familiarity with industry-recognised qualifications and training modules;
