Senior RF Engineer Required

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Engineer to join our team. This is a key role that requires collaboration with various stakeholders and teams.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of systems engineering, RF technologies, and Linux based software configuration.
  • They should also possess excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and test ionosonde equipment and associated IT network and Linux based software configuration.
  • Develop site installation plans, acceptance test results, and operational safety documents.
  • Work closely with the project manager to identify risks and mitigate actions.
  • Transition documentation to operations and support the transition process.
  • Perform technical work within allocated authority from OTE.
  • Provide guidance on technical aspects of the project and equipment retrieval/disposal.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field from an Australian educational institution or comparable overseas qualification.
  • Extensive experience with Linux based software configuration and Python programming.
  • Knowledge of solar power and battery systems.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and manage competing priorities.
