About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Coordinator/Social Inclusion Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in youth work, mental health, or a related field, and will be passionate about developing and delivering high-quality education, training, and community awareness programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community events and programs to improve mental health literacy and community awareness of challenges faced by young people.
  • Work closely with our clinical team to understand the services provided by headspace and advocate for our services to young people and the wider community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including schools, community groups, and local organizations.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and deliver education and training programs for young people and their families.
  • Contribute to the development of our organization's strategic plan and goals.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Diploma qualification in youth work, mental health, or a related field.
  • Experience in a similar role working with young people and communities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence in the use of IT, including social media applications and website maintenance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write grant submissions.
  • Eligibility to apply for a Working with Children Check and NDIS worker screening clearance.
