Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Volunteer Opportunities Coordinator. In this role, you will work closely with our Lifestyle Team to implement group and individual lifestyle programs that enhance the quality of life and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in friendly conversations and active listening with residents to build meaningful relationships.
  • Participate in lifestyle activities such as games, arts and crafts, or music sessions to promote social interaction and engagement.
  • Accompany residents on short walks or outings to provide opportunities for physical activity and exploration.
  • Assist with reading, writing, or other lifestyle activities based on residents' interests to promote cognitive stimulation and engagement.
  • Provide emotional support and a compassionate presence to residents who may be experiencing emotional or psychological distress.
Requirements
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a strong ability to build relationships with older adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and families.
  • Patience and understanding when interacting with older adults, with a willingness to adapt to individual needs and preferences.
  • Respect for cultural diversity and a willingness to learn about residents' backgrounds and experiences.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
