Community Development Specialist

In this exciting role, you will lead project team members, volunteers, and stakeholders to effectively deliver community development programs. Your primary responsibility will be to advance tenant engagement initiatives, coordinate grant submissions, and implement strength-based practices. Additionally, you will design and evaluate community-based initiatives that promote tenant participation and social well-being, while establishing a peer-leadership program for individuals with lived experiences of homelessness and housing insecurity.
About the Role
As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for building and maintaining networks with local stakeholders to increase client access to community services and achieve development outcomes. You will also research and compile data to showcase program effectiveness, providing regular reports and success stories. Furthermore, you will offer advice and training to internal stakeholders to enhance housing services and encourage staff involvement in community engagement activities.
