This is a significant electricity transmission project in regional NSW, connecting Wagga Wagga, Maragle, and Bannaby. It involves approximately 365 km of proposed new transmission lines and infrastructure upgrades.

Key aspects include the delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning 130 km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new substation at Gugaa, near Gundagai, and the construction of a new substation at Maragle for future connection to Snowy 2.0.

Opportunity: Community Place Manager

We seek an experienced community place manager to support community engagement programs and manage internal and external communications for the project.

Please note this role will be based in Batlow (Snowy Valleys) for the duration of the project.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Develop and implement stakeholder contact and liaison programs to foster trust and reliability.
  2. Create and manage a systematic complaints handling process, developing action plans and monitoring outcomes.
  3. Understand and implement contractual community and stakeholder requirements.
  4. Collaborate with the Project Team to identify and address community concerns and project priorities.
About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in similar roles on large infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in engaging with the public on various issues.
  • Excellent writing skills for diverse communication materials.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude.

Candidates must hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card and pass a medical including drug and alcohol testing prior to start. Tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work may also be required where applicable.
