Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team in a prestigious research project. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for providing support and facilitating the delivery of a major research initiative.

The project focuses on real-world regional development project initiatives, collaborating with industry, local governments, and international experts. You will work closely with world-class researchers to influence positive outcomes for the Murray-Darling basin region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organising and recruiting community participants for workshops, interviews, and surveys
  • Preparing scientific papers, literature reviews, conference papers, case-study summaries, and other project-related documentation
  • Providing research project support, including project administration, reporting, internal and external communications, and organising project events

This role requires ability to travel and spend substantial time at the Griffith, NSW Hub of the One Basin CRC, conducting research activity in outer regional case study locations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A doctoral qualification relevant to economics, business or a related discipline
  • A record of research or professional activity demonstrating an ability to make an autonomous contribution
  • Demonstrated experience in organising and recruiting participants, conducting in-depth interviews and surveys, and competently analysing data
  • Demonstrated experience in writing research publications, conference papers, and reports
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster strong stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in a large academic setting
