Job Overview

As a diesel fitter, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality solutions and results. You will work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure that mobile plant equipment is maintained, repaired, and serviced efficiently and safely.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent diagnostic, fault-finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance skills. They will be highly motivated and committed to delivering quality results while following work instructions and completing all paperwork to a high standard.

The successful candidate will also have a good work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement. They will be able to work as an individual within the maintenance team and demonstrate a strong commitment to risk management and safe work practices.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A trade certificate in diesel fitting or relevant equivalent.
  • Post-trade experience working in the mining or heavy earth moving industry.
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment.
  • A current driver's license.
  • A current Standard 11 desirable.

The successful candidate will be able to commit to a positive safety culture and contribute to the overall success of the team.
