Heavy Machinery Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team at the Curragh North Coal Project. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine servicing and repair of large-scale mobile mining equipment.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel fitting and experience working with heavy machinery. You will work collaboratively with our maintenance supervisor to ensure high-quality solutions and results.
The successful applicant will have a trade certificate in diesel fitting or relevant equivalent, post-trade experience working in the mining industry, and demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT heavy earthmoving equipment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, working on complex projects and contributing to the success of our team.
Responsibilities- Perform routine servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment
- Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change-outs to a high standard
- Source technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM systems, and computer-based systems
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
- Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or relevant equivalent
- Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
- Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs, and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
- Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
- Permanent full-time positions
- 7/7 Day Night Rotating shifts, 12.25-hour roster week
- BIBO available from Yeppoon, Rockhampton, and Mackay
