Role Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as an Educational Leader. This role is based in Mount Riverview and involves working with children and families in Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) and Early Years Education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working as part of a supportive management team in a quality OSHC Provider organisation with long-standing coordinators. They will work closely with the Approved Provider to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children and families.

About the Role:

  • This is a permanent 35 hours a week position, Monday to Friday.
  • The hourly rate is $35 - $38 per hour, plus a split shift allowance and educational leader allowance.
  • The role involves working before school care hours from 6:30am - 9am and after-school care hours from 2:30pm - 6:30pm.
  • The successful candidate will also work 2.5 hours out of ratio per week.
  • The service has 60 approved places.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To develop, implement and evaluate programs that promote the learning and development of children.
  2. To build and maintain positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  3. To work collaboratively with the management team to achieve the goals of the organisation.
  4. To contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being of children and staff.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Experience working in OSHC and/or Early Years Education.
  • Understanding of the My Time Our Place Framework.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues.
