About the Role:

The Data Governance Specialist will play a key role in managing business information, ensuring its quality, security, and maintenance align with data governance principles and regulatory requirements. This newly created position reports directly to our General Manager of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits and monitor data integrity to maintain the highest standards.
  • As the Data Product Owner, collaborate with the Data and Analytics team to design reports for various internal stakeholders, driving informed decision-making.
  • Lead data initiatives and analysis, fostering collaboration across teams and promoting a culture of data-driven excellence.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and process owners to enhance data quality, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide data literacy training and support to diverse audiences, empowering them to effectively utilize data insights.
  • Safeguard sensitive data and implement measures to mitigate data security risks, upholding the company's commitment to data protection.
  • Maintain data privacy standards and ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations, staying ahead of industry developments.
  • Develop and implement data strategies aligned with organisational goals and objectives, driving business growth and success.
  • Lead, develop, and retain talented individuals within your team as you grow your function, building a best-in-class data management capability.

About You:

You possess a demonstrable track record in managing data, with experience in understanding all things data including analysis and reporting, managing data lifecycle processes or data value chains, process improvement, and/or data projects, data management maturity models, and various data management practices.

You have demonstrated ability to influence and solve complex problems, showcasing strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Your previous involvement in project teams has honed your ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
