About the Role

We are seeking a Data Governance Strategist to join our Marketing team. The role reports directly to our General Manager of Marketing and is responsible for managing business information, ensuring its quality, security, and maintenance align with data governance principles and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting audits and monitoring data integrity to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Serving as the Data Product Owner, working with the Data and Analytics team to design reports for various internal stakeholders, meeting their specific needs and requirements.
  • Leading data initiatives and analysis, fostering collaboration across teams to drive informed decision-making.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and process owners to enhance data quality, leveraging their expertise to identify areas for improvement.
  • Providing data literacy training and support to diverse audiences, empowering them to effectively utilize data in their roles.
  • Safeguarding sensitive data and implementing measures to mitigate data security risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintaining data privacy standards, adhering to legal requirements and organizational policies.
  • Developing and implementing data strategies aligned with organisational goals and objectives, driving business growth and success.
  • Leading, developing, and retaining talented individuals within your team as you grow your function, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
About You

You present with a demonstrable track record in managing data, possessing experience in understanding all things data including analysis and reporting, managing data lifecycle processes or data value chains, process improvement, and/or data projects, data management maturity models, and various data management practices.

Additionally, you have a demonstrated ability to influence and solve complex problems, possess strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, and have previous involvement in project teams.
