Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate caregiver to provide home help services and personal care to our aged care clients in the City of Burnside.

  • General housekeeping and making beds is required on a daily basis.
  • Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors is essential for maintaining a clean living environment.
  • Washing, folding and ironing laundry ensures our clients have clean clothes to wear.
  • Meal preparation and grocery shopping are also essential tasks that require attention to detail.

You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:

  • Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day requires a high level of physical fitness.
  • Assisting clients to take their medications is a critical task that requires attention to detail.
  • Assisting with mobility and therapy goals helps our clients maintain their independence.
  • Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia requires patience and understanding.
  • Providing social and emotional support is essential for our clients' well-being.
  • Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments requires a reliable vehicle.
  • Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things is crucial for their well-being.

As a caregiver, you will work independently and use your initiative to find solutions to everyday problems. You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to build positive relationships with clients and their families.

  • A valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle is essential for transporting clients.
  • Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications is highly desirable.
