The role of the IR Manager involves leading Employment and Workplace Relations strategy and operations across a national enterprise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing effective ER & EA strategies
  • Leading Enterprise Agreement negotiations on high-impact EAs under the Fair Work Act
  • Ensuring sound Governance processes are in place
  • Coaching and educating employees in IR advice to manage disputes and enhance business skills

To succeed in this role, you will require extensive experience in IR/ER functions including strategy and negotiation within a complex blue-collar environment. Strong business acumen proven experience in unionized environments robust negotiation skills impeccable integrity and the ability to influence engage coach and mentor are essential qualities for this position.

Leadership is also a key aspect of this role as you will be required to lead cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives that benefit the business.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

It is also desirable to have knowledge of labor relations laws regulations and practices including employment law fair work act awards and agreements.

Additionally the candidate should possess strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills to drive business outcomes.
