Pastoral Care Specialist

This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive team environment and make a positive impact on people's lives.

About the Role

As a member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing spiritual care support to residents, their families and staff. You will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and provide guidance on pastoral care practices.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar role in aged care, health care or community care, and possess established skills in preparation, creation, leadership and facilitation of meaningful rituals.

You will also have eligibility for SCA certified membership and a tertiary qualification in pastoral care, spiritual direction, counselling or similar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing spiritual care support to residents according to triage priorities.
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Providing spiritual care support to residents' family members and to staff as required.
