
Supportive Family Safety Specialist

We are seeking a skilled practitioner to join our team in providing intake support via phone, within our site, and through outreach visits.
- Manage a caseload and deliver screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation, and coordinated referrals.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively to support integrated risk assessment and planning, apply for brokerage on behalf of clients when required, and refer clients to services within the broader service system.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Orange Door Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing intake support via phone, within our site, and through outreach visits.
- Managing a caseload and delivering screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation, and coordinated referrals.
- Working collaboratively to support integrated risk assessment and planning, applying for brokerage on behalf of clients when required, and referring clients to services within the broader service system.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Experience, skills, and capabilities in child, youth, and families welfare.
- Well-developed risk assessment and management skills.
- Understanding of the broader service system referral pathways.
- Sound understanding of the MARAM Framework, Best Interests Principles, and the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005.
