The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Taylor Root, a leading legal recruitment agency. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior legal professional to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing strategic and business-focused legal advice to our clients and internal stakeholders
  • Advising on complex legal matters, including family law and privacy law
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, as well as providing contract-specific and general corporate and commercial advice
  • Representing or coordinating representation of our clients in family law courts and tribunals
  • Supporting our clients in legal issues arising from operational matters, including compliance with court orders
  • Providing legal input on strategic, governance, and administrative matters and sourcing and managing relationships with external providers where external expertise is required

Ideal Candidate

  • Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand
  • 5+ years of experience with a reputable firm and/or in-house
  • Experience in family law is essential, and privacy law experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work confidently with people at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
