Job Title: Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at MBC Recruitment. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing legal services in compliance matters and transactional (commercial contract) matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal information to support business decisions.
  • Review and draft legal documents, including contracts and agreements.
  • Support procurement and other internal stakeholders in approaches to market, particularly direct negotiations.
  • Identify and manage legal risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Investigate complex legal issues and provide guidance to staff on legal matters.
Requirements:
  • Admitted as a lawyer in the state of New South Wales with a current practising certificate.
  • At least two years of experience in legal practice in a transactional or legal compliance role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
