Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team at MBC Recruitment. As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal services in compliance matters and transactional (commercial contract) matters, with a secondary role in contract management and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and provide legal information to support business decisions.
  • Review and draft legal documents, including contracts and agreements.
  • Support procurement and other internal stakeholders in approaches to market, particularly direct negotiations.
  • Identify and manage legal risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to pursue business objectives while ensuring effective legal and commercial risk management.

Requirements

  • Admitted as a lawyer in the state of New South Wales with a current practising certificate.
  • At least two years of experience in legal practice in a transactional or legal compliance role.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and manage problems in ambiguous situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Must have own vehicle and be willing to work on-site.
