Loan Closing Specialist Role

The Loan Closing Analyst plays a crucial part in the Operations team, overseeing the loan process from initiation to completion through funding. This entails meticulous preparation and review of closing documents for accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review title commitment, real estate tax information, and loan documents for thoroughness.
  • Prepare closing documents by completing forms and statements, collecting and reviewing existing documents.
  • Ensure settlement statements and post-close deliverables align with loan documents, program guidelines, and closing expectations.
  • Maintain file updates and communications to monitor and track loan status, ensuring consistent follow-up for outstanding items.
  • Establish accurate loan funding calculations, including escrow analysis, property taxes, and insurance, while reconciling related accounting entries.
  • Prepare and submit wire requests for loan funding along with supporting documentation.
  • Monitor construction loan closing pipeline activity and lead discussion in weekly internal meetings.
  • Collaborate with Directors on process improvement activities.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, contributing to ongoing system and process development as a subject matter expert.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Two years of construction loan closing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Real Estate is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage deadlines, and adaptability in fast-paced environments are critical.
  • Experience with SQL and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office are valuable assets.
