Job Title: Nursery Production Specialist
">This role is responsible for driving extension and communication activities throughout the Sydney basin, north coast and regional areas of NSW. The successful candidate will be required to travel extensively, visiting production nurseries and providing on-site support.
">The Role:
">This specialist will be responsible for promoting Best Management Practices (BMP) across sustainable plant production, plant protection and biosecurity issues that impact the grower. Key responsibilities include:
">- Providing guidance and support to growers in the adoption and implementation of BMP resources
- Collaborating with industry stakeholders to promote and improve nursery production practices
- Conducting systems compliance audits and providing training and certification opportunities
Requirements:
">To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
">- A tertiary qualification in agriculture or horticultural science
- Experience in horticulture/agriculture extension or advisory roles
- Strong technical knowledge of plant production and nursery management
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
