WHOLESALE PRODUCTION NURSERY

Nursery Hand / Nursery Person

We are a production nursery growing native plants for the landscape industry looking for a reliable, hard working person to join our small team. As part of our team you would be involved in all aspects of production and maintenance in the nursery including; potting (by hand and on a potting machine), weeding, fertilising, pest/disease control, picking and preparing stock for dispatch, movement of stock around the nursery using a small tractor and trailers (training provided), general plant maintenance, spraying herbicide/pesticide etc.

Work hours are between Monday to Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm (flexible hours available)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA INCLUDES:

- Drivers license / own transport
- High level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items
- Ability to work both independently and fit in with our existing small team
- Willing to work in all weather conditions (plants are grown outdoors)
- Some kind of experience in the Horticulture/Agriculture industry eg nursery work, landscaping, gardening, farming etc, a Horticulture qualification is a bonus but not essential
- AQF3 Chemical Qualification or be willing to obtain
- Reliable, methodical and keen to learn
- Experience with tractor/bobcat is a bonus but not essential

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $29.40 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 - 37.5 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
