At the School of Education, we are seeking experienced academics who share our passion for teaching and education. We offer a range of sessional academic opportunities across various programs, allowing you to contribute your expertise and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students.

Job Description:

As a sessional academic at our institution, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning and teaching experiences to our students. This may include conducting tutorials and lectures, preparing lesson plans, facilitating group discussions, and assessing student work.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified to at least one AQF qualification level higher than the course of study being taught, or with equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level with sound understanding of pedagogical and/or adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes including online delivery.
  • Proven ability to assess priority of tasks, manage workload and meet deadlines, in a busy education environment.

  • Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with students.
