About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced educators with a passion for teaching to join our academic team across various programs.

  • Academic staff in Health and Physical Education, Primary Teaching, Science, Practicum Supervision, and Secondary Teacher Education are invited to express their interest.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct tutorials/lectures to the standard of the School, preparing lesson plans and facilitating student engagement.
  • Consult with students on readings, topics, and assessments.
  • Assist with assessment administration, including marking, results entry, and providing feedback.
  • Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator/Program Coordinator.
  • Identify students at risk through thorough tutorial attendance recording.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Supportive of education principles and practices.
  • Qualified to at least one AQF qualification level higher than the course of study being taught or with equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level with sound understanding of pedagogical and/or adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes, including online delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing resources/curriculum documents and assessment tasks.
  • Ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including fostering collegiality and empathising with students.
  • Proven ability to assess priority tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines in a busy education environment.
