A teaching opportunity has arisen in the School of Health Science.

About the Role

The position involves preparing and coordinating tutorials and workshops, consulting with students, marking assessments, and attending meetings as required by the Course Coordinator.

The primary objective is to successfully deliver and manage assigned tutorials or workshops within the discipline area.

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced academics or clinicians who have a passion for teaching.Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Conducting lectures and theoretical tutorials in consultation with the Discipline Lead.
  • Consulting with students regarding readings, weekly topics, and assessment.
  • Marking and providing feedback on assessment activities as set out by the Course Coordinator.
  • Attending meetings as required by the Course Coordinator.
  • Managing short-term extension requests in line with university policy.
  • Other duties identified by the line manager or National Head of School.

We are looking for academic staff with subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Biomechanics
  • Exercise Physiology
  • Functional Anatomy

Applicants should possess a degree in Exercise and Sport Science or Clinical Exercise Physiology. Postgraduate research or teaching qualifications are desirable.

A demonstrated ability to effectively deal with diverse individuals and knowledge of workplace policies and procedures are essential. Previous experience in tertiary education is also beneficial.
