
Business Development Leader

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to spearhead our sales and marketing efforts. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, developing growth strategies, and building strong relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:- New Business Opportunities: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across key industry sectors (civil, construction Tier 1 & 2, utilities, infrastructure).
- Customer Engagement: Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Project Management: Act as a key point of contact for major projects, tenders, and supplier agreements.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve issues promptly, working with internal teams to ensure high service levels.
- Sales Planning: Develop and execute a regional sales plan aligned to regional and state growth goals.
- Sales Metrics: Track and analyze sales metrics, ensuring visibility on progress to targets.
- Customer Reviews: Conduct quarterly reviews with top-tier customers to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Relationship Building: Build strong, trusted relationships with customers at all levels—site, procurement, and head office.
- Market Intelligence: Generate leads and drive new business, keep abreast of industry trends, competition, and market conditions.
- Industry Experience: Preferred experience selling to the construction industry.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Crm Experience: Experience using CRM (Salesforce).
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build strong and influential relationships.
- Commercial Awareness: Good commercial awareness with a passion and drive to succeed.
- Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of results.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, driven and familiar with remote working conditions.
- Organisational Skills: Time management & organisational skills.
