Research Leader Position

We are seeking an exceptional academic to enhance research excellence and contribute to high-quality teaching outcomes in the field of Architecture.

About the Role:
  • Provide thought leadership within the discipline, community, and professional, commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Lead effective collaborations and strategic initiatives to deliver outcomes in research, development, commercialisation, and policy improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • An outstanding record in research demonstrated by high-impact research outcomes.
  • A significant record of successfully obtaining competitive grants.
  • A demonstrated track record of high-level service to and collaboration with professional practice, industry, institutional and governmental stakeholders most relevant to their area/s of expertise.

The successful candidate will be a world-leading researcher with an international profile and reputation, based at Camperdown Campus. They will have an outstanding record of research in architecture, demonstrated by high-impact research outcomes. The appointee will also have a significant record of successfully obtaining competitive grants and a demonstrated track record of high-level service to and collaboration with professional practice, industry, institutional and governmental stakeholders most relevant to their area/s of expertise.

Requirements:
  • PhD in Architecture or a related field.
  • Extensive experience as a senior academic leader.
  • A strong interest in research-led teaching in architecture.
  • A proven ability to attract and supervise outstanding postgraduate research students and professional research staff.
