About You:

We are seeking individuals who share our passion for supporting people with disabilities and are committed to making a positive impact in their lives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with daily living tasks, including personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, eating/feeding, and transferring/mobility assistance.
  • Domestic activities such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, and gardening.
  • Community access and outings, including driving to medical appointments, social activities, shopping, leisure outings, and school activities.
  • Supporting or introducing hobbies and activities, such as arts and crafts, music, sports, learning new skills, reading/tutoring, love for animals, companionship.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in healthcare (individual support, disability, aged care, nursing) and/or relevant experience caring for people with a disability or complex care needs.
  • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practices is highly desirable.
  • Experience caring for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or intellectual disabilities in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Experience in medication administration and seizure management is an advantage.
  • A valid Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening are required.
  • A First Aid and CPR Certificate is necessary.
  • NDIS e-Learning Module Certificates are also required.
  • A full COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.
  • A current driver's licence with a registered, reliable, and insured vehicle is essential.
  • Effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
