Construction Disputes Specialist

About the Role:

The construction practice at this major firm has been widely-regarded as the pre-eminent group in the country for many years. They undertake some of the most complex, significant and high-profile infrastructure, construction, engineering and mining projects and matters in the Asia-Pacific region.

The team covers the full range of construction matters including advice on all aspects of their projects (including pre-contract, project delivery methods, project finance, procurement, drafting standard and bespoke construction contracts), contract administration and interpretation, all forms of construction claims, litigation, alternative dispute resolution (including mediation, expert determination, and arbitration (including international arbitration)).

You will act for a range of clients including owners, developers, project sponsors, financiers, project managers, consultants, and government agencies at local, state and federal level on a mix of dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration (also including international arbitration) mediation and expert determination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a professional profile and internal network beyond the practice group
  • Maintain and foster client relationships
  • Present a positive image of self, the team and the firm
Requirements:

You will be an intermediate to senior level lawyer with between 2 to 4 years' construction disputes experience. If you have general commercial disputes experience with a keen interest in specialising in construction, you are also encouraged to apply.
