The role of an Aviation Meteorologist involves providing meteorological services to support safe and efficient aviation operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and issuing a range of products, including forecasts and warnings, as well as collaborating with other meteorologists to ensure the provision of a consistent suite of services.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining a suite of products and services for aviation users
- Preparing and issuing forecasts and warnings as required
- Collaborating with other meteorologists to ensure the provision of a consistent suite of services
- Bachelor's degree in meteorology or a related field
- Basic Instruction Package for Meteorologists (BIP-M) qualification
- One year's experience in an operational meteorological service delivery environment
