Advanced Quantum Sensor Researcher

Our Research FocusOur team of experts is dedicated to developing and deploying advanced quantum sensors that can be integrated into real-world applications. We believe in collaboration and are working closely with a cross-functional team to drive our research and development program forward.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team as a Research and Development Manager. As part of our lab-based team, you will be responsible for driving and managing a research and development program, requiring a broad skill set including the design, integration, and operation of atomic quantum sensors.
You will be deeply embedded in the end-to-end development and deployment of our sensors and will be engaged daily in tasks such as:
- Providing technical guidance and directions to a team of physicists and engineers
- Designing and prototyping optical, mechanical, and electronics subsystems
- Optimizing and ruggedizing atomic sensors for practical applications
- Atomic sensor integration, optimization, and deployment in real-world environments
To succeed in this role, you must have a minimum PhD in atomic, molecular, or quantum physics, and demonstrate expertise in areas such as laser spectroscopy, laser-cooling, and atom interferometry of atomic species. You should also have aptitude towards programming and automation, with competence in Python for lab instrumentation, control systems, and data analysis preferred.
Additionally, you should possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong communication skills are essential to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
