Job Title: Research Scientist in Quantum Mechanics
">About the RoleThis position involves developing innovative computational methods and collaborating with a leading industry partner to establish a high-throughput workflow for accurate quantum chemistry simulations.
Main Responsibilities- Develop Advanced Computational Methods: Utilise Python scripting to automate job preparation, submission, analysis, and visualisation for large-scale quantum chemistry calculations.
- Conduct High-Accuracy Simulations: Perform precise wavefunction calculations on high-performance computer clusters to generate ab initio reference benchmarks.
- Collaborate and Publish: Work closely with the industry partner, analyse data, and contribute to the preparation of research publications and grant applications.
- Supervise Researchers: Participate in the supervision and mentoring of research students within the research group.
- Contribute to Research Excellence: Conduct internationally competitive research in theoretical quantum chemistry, resulting in publications in highly reputable journals.
Candidates should have a strong background in quantum chemistry, expertise in theory and application, and a commitment to conducting high-accuracy simulations on advanced computing infrastructure.
